A few of us recently played barefoot bowls for the first time at Belmont Services Club in Narracott Street, Carina. We had a fantastic time!

It was part of a fundraiser day that Amy Mulvihill organised to raise funds for Lions Medical Research and we had a few drinks with friends in between a bit of bowls.

The club staff are really open to beginners and all ages and children under 12 are free. It’s so reasonably priced that you really should give it a go on a Sunday afternoon. We’ll definitely be heading there again.

Another nearby barefoot bowls option is at Mt Gravatt Bowls Club. I’ve never been, but share your thoughts below if you have experienced either.
