A total of $861.60 was raised at the Carindale Village sausage sizzle and slushies stand on Saturday. 100% proceeds are going to The Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal.

I’d like to personally thank the staff and donations from, Special Fx Hair Studio, Snapper and Snacks, Salms Meats, Kp Gourmet Bakery, Jewel West and Mel Robey (fairy crafts), Sensational Slushees and Carindale Village Shops. Thank you so very much for your time and donations which made yesterdays flood relief bbq a great success.

And what a busy weekend it’s been for Citipointe Church (Wecker Rd, Carindale).  They have been doing a brilliant job getting volunteers and resources together, setting up hubs and getting their hands dirty.  To highlight some of their great leadership, here are some of their tweets from the last 48 hours:

Graceville Hub operating today. Cnr White & Verney. Volunteers come. Urgent need for bottled water for you and others at all hubs

2 Hub locations today open 7am-4:30pm. Fairfield- cnr Fairfield & Venner. St Lucia- cnr Coldridge & Carmody. Wear boots and heavy gloves.

We need shovels, heavy bristled brooms, wheelbarrows and eskies. Bring to Citipointe church. 322 Wecker Rd Carindale

Police stopping the traffic and army trucks to let citipointe volunteers pass!! “anything for the citipointe guys” they are saying!!!

Streets without power need generators and gurneys to clean. Bring them if you can. Hubs at Graceville, Sherwood, Fairfield and West End.
