Uncle Bob’s Bakery at Belmont is getting ready for Bastille Day. They will have baguettes and croissants among their other decorative French inspired bread products, some of which are pictured below.

They are also supplying some wonderful products to the French Festival – the France Gourmet stall and the Bon Appetit stall.

Bastille Day is the French National Day celebrated on 14th July each year.  It commemorates the 1790 Fete de la Federation, held on the first anniversary of the storming of Bastille on 14th July 1789.

Uncle Bob’s Bakery tweeted the following today:
Be vocal, support local, don’t let the bully tactics of the large supermarket chains destroy QLD small business!! That’s my 2 cents!

And we couldn’t agree more!

Uncle Bob’s Bakery, established in 1993, is at Shop 2 185 Belmont Rd. They also have other Queensland stores at Redland Bay and Crystal Waters.
