We were alerted tonight by Mathew King via Twitter of something that sounded like an explosion in or around Ablington Way, Carindale. He provided a short video from the scene showing emergency services vehicles. Some of his tweets and others from the area below.
As at 11.15pm we do not have confirmation of what the situation is.

@carindale_local I have just been told by a friend that apparently it was illegal fireworks being set of from behind the house.

Late to this I know, but the fireworks were actually in the parkland right up against the bush in the north end of Alderbury Place. They were so close our windows were rattling. Scared the hell out of my young children, not to mention the fact that it could have started a fire amongst the heavy bush. There was a party at a known share house on Kenilworth Street at the same time.
A loud explosion sounding like the sound of super big ball firework occurred at approx 20:40 and at 20:42pm. As others have written many emergency vehicles were seen traveling to the suspected source about 20 minutes later.
It looked to be around the same area as the Home Invasion the other night..
