A Gumdale family returned home yesterday afternoon to find the side glass door smashed and property strewn throughout the house. The victims told police that their home had been broken into while they were at work during the day.

The offenders had searched nearly every room in the house stealing property as they went. Property stolen included a large television, iPad, two laptop computers, iPod, iPhone, camera, cash, sunglasses and other property. On this occasion the home was locked and secure and the offenders smashed their way in.

One Response to “Break and enter alert – Gumdale”

  1. Today 2 young man, one Caucasian and one Asian looking were pretending to sale door to door. I have previously seen the in the area of Rochedale where my parents live. I had the gate open waiting for the gas company to do a delivery and these two man came into the property, they have tags as if they are representing a company. He must have recognised me from my parents house when they were selling cleaning products, this time they have no products on hand, he was not expecting my dog and they walk out of the property. I saw them walking towards Boston Road and I went out in the car within 3 minutes of them leaving, there was no sight of them.
Just be aware they look suspicious.
