Privatisation of land assets in Brisbane is a risky undertaking. There is no philanthropic support for funding to purchase, maintain or improve greenspace and no one will come to the rescue of the many sites in Brisbane up for grabs.
In the US many parks, natural areas and sporting facilities are sponsored by philanthropists and well supported NGOs. In Australia we don’t have this – we have Clive Palmer and Titanic II.
