Disability Support: Phil Russell
[page last updated Thursday 23rd May, 2020]

Hi, my name is Phil Russell and I’m a disability support worker based in Carindale, Brisbane.
I recently graduated from a Certificate 3 in Individual Support (disability & aged care). I completed my placement at Precious Angels (disability, Holland Park) and AVEO (aged care, Newstead).
I have a current:
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- National Police Check
- Blue Card
- Yellow Card
- Drivers License (unrestricted) and own car.
I was born in England and am an Australian Citizen. Previous to my career as a support worker I’ve worked as an Optical Technician at OPSM as well as in warehouse logistics. I can provide you with my resume and referees and details of the above.
I’m reliable, trustworthy and friendly and care about providing you with support that suits your preferences, goals and lifestyle.

I’ve been living in Carindale for 14 years, with my wife and two old dogs. I’m normally at the gym almost daily but, with COVID-19, have been getting more creative with my regime with more walking around the neighbourhood and exercise area at home. I enjoy bushwalking and time in nature. I’m also really into collectable toys (a big kid at heart).
Contact or hire me
We can have an initial chat via Zoom/Skype/phone or at your home or local cafe. Contact me via phil.russell.au@gmail.com to set-up an informal chat at no cost or obligation.
You can book me for support on Hireup.com.au – a registered NDIS provider (also provides support for other funding methods). Hireup provides a really great system for people to find and hire support workers. I can provide disability support to people in Carindale, Carina Heights, Mansfield, Holland Park, Mt Gravatt and surrounds.
COVID-19
There is obviously considerable concern about how disability care and aged care happens safely during this pandemic. I follow best practice hygiene and social distancing. I am happy to discuss how I can best meet your needs while keeping us both as healthy as possible.
