Carindale resident Amy Mulvihill has won Miss Charity 2011 in The Lions Medical Research Personality Quest. The Quest is the main fundraiser for the Lions Medical Research Foundation and has a 45 year history with women focused on raising funds in their communities to ultimately save lives of others.

Amy says the past year has taught her how important medical research is to everybody no matter what age, race or sex. Read the rest of this entry »

Glenn Millar presenting bowling mats to Belmont Services Bowls Club President Graham Condon

Last Saturday was the President’s Fours Tournament at Belmont Services Bowls Club and there were over 120 bowlers involved.

The club also started a new sponsorship with real estate agent Glenn Millar from Real Estate Agency Harcourts Carina/Carindale.  Glenn presented each team with new bowling mats and says there’s now no excuses now for slipping and bowling badly!

A few of us recently played barefoot bowls for the first time at Belmont Services Club in Narracott Street, Carina. We had a fantastic time!
