I am absolutely disgusted in the obvious and blatant grab for revenue from BCC due to the city and state being economically ‘broke’. Not only is council fining people for the least infringements and many not even legal infringements, the obvious increase by the Qld Police Service’s constant presence now everywhere with speed cameras – without any speed, holiday or other offensives on – is nothing short of public harassment and revenue gathering for the state government.

4 weeks ago I received a $75 parking fine on my vehicle, OUTSIDE MY OWN HOUSE, on a wider than normal strip of grass. Continue reading »

It’s been a long path leading up to the construction of the new Carina Police Station, while the Queensland Police Service has been outgrowing the former Camp Hill Police Station.

In a press release, Member for Chatsworth Steve Kilburn says that, upon its completion, the new station will provide a modern, first-class policing environment for officers and civilian staff members in the area.
