Carina Leagues Club CJ’s Swim Club is going from strength to strength.
Recently the team won two gold and a bronze at the Brisbane Short Course Championships, with all swimmers achieving personal bests. There was a fantastic 16 seconds improvement for Lara Wingreen for her 400m Individual Medley time.

There’s some exciting things happening for local kids who are into, or want to try, swimming.
There’s a great new team member at the Carina Leagues CJ’s Swim Club as well as an exciting new scholarship opportunity.
Is your child interested in swimming? Do they want to learn how to improve their swimming skills and hang out with other kids who love swimming? Then you might like to bring them along to this sign-on evening.
The Carina Leagues CJ’s Swim Club is a family orientated club with a focus on fun. Even if your child is not 100% sure about swimming, they are welcome to come along and see what they think. Swimming is a great form of exercise and it can help with confidence and safety around water.
The club is based at the Clem Jones Sport Centre which has 3 pools, a staffed gym, on-site physio, canteen and professional coaching staff.

There is also The Clem Jones Centre Annual Open Day on Sunday 9th October, 9am to 5pm.
And for those who love sausage sizzles and supporting CJ’s Swim Club, there is a fundraiser being held at Belmont Shopping Village, Belmont on Saturday 24th September from 9.30am-1pm. It is hosted by Steve Kilburn MP with all funds going to CJ’s Swim Club.

From today, Monday 13th June, the Clem Jones 50m outdoor swimming pool is closed for maintenance, including the installation of a new heating system.
Swimmers from the Carina Leagues CJ’s Swim Club are off to Adelaide on the 17th of April to compete in the 2011 Age National Championships that run from Monday 18th – Saturday 23rd April 2011. Continue reading »
