You’re able to celebrate World Rivers Day locally, on the 25th September, with Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C).
B4C is currently trying to raise $2500 online to plant 400 native species to provide habitat and riparian buffer to the waterway that flows to Bulimba Creek, Brisbane River and Moreton Bay. The creek corridor is known to be home to koalas, possums and squirrel gliders.
The tree planting will be happening on World Rivers Day which is a waterways celebration held on the last Sunday in September. The International RiverFoundation is promoting World Rivers Day through its global network and has developed an Australian focused campaign to financially benefit local Australian catchment areas.
