  • Mens Shed Carina Inc Group Meetings

    Where: 56 Zahel Street, Carina

    Every Monday and Wednesday: 9am-12Noon.  Every man needs a shed and the goal of Mens Shed is for Carina to have their own self-equipped shed.    The aim is to provide a safe, welcoming and creative environment in which to service a wide range of needs for men from the district and surrounding suburbs.  The Shed is a friendly and relaxed place with plenty of time for a cup of tea and a chat.  You may also wish to teach or learn from others with modern or yesterday skills.  Membership is open to men of all ages.   • The Crackerjack Carnival

    This Mini “Royal Show ” is Showtime in the Suburbs. Residents in the Carina and surrounding districts have been looking forward to The Crackerjack Carnival for 35 years now and the next one scheduled for Friday 1st June to Sunday 3rd June 2012 will be yet another wonderful event. .

    Described as a mini “Royal Show ”, with many of the attractions of its larger RNA counterpart but considerably cheaper for families to attend, the carnival usually attracts some 25,000 people.

    Proceeds from the 2012 Crackerjack Carnival will go towards maintaining facilities and supporting the 17 clubs of various descriptions that call the Clem Jones Centre home.

    The Clem Jones Centre relies heavily on sponsorship from individuals, companies and the community to ensure the continuing success of the Crackerjack Carnival. If you would like to sponsor this event, please contact us on 3398 2107.
