Police are searching for a man who robbed a woman at knife point over night.

Around 12.30am the woman was sitting in the driver’s seat of a car stationary at a red traffic control light situated at the intersection of Richmond and Creek roads, when a man has approached the driver’s window on foot. He produced a knife and demanded the woman’s wallet, which was sitting on the passenger seat.

The man fled with the woman’s wallet and was last seen getting into a gold Holden Commodore sedan which had been parked nearby in Creek Road. The woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was uninjured and drove to a nearby friend’s house. The incident was reported to police later this morning.

The man is described as aged between 20 and 25, approximately 178cms tall with a slim build, fair complexion and dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, stone washed jeans and a black beanie.
