Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred in Carina overnight, and one attempted armed robbery in Carindale.

At around 11pm a man went to a restaurant on Millenium Boulevard, Carindale and demanded cash.

The man left the store empty handed after the staff refused to comply.

A man attended a service station on Old Cleveland Road, Carina just after 11pm and told the male shop attendant that he had a gun, before demanding cash.

The attendant complied and the man left the store on foot with a sum of money.

At around 3am, a man entered a Creek Road service station and indicated that he had a firearm before demanded cash from the employee.

The employee handed a sum of money to the man and he left the store of foot. He was last seen running towards Carindale on Creek Road.

Police located a man in Carina a short time later. He is currently assisting with enquiries.

Investigations are continuing.
