A 29-year-old Morningside man has been charged in relation to an incident at Coorparoo overnight.

Around 10.15pm, two men allegedly gained entry to the Beresford Terrace residence and threatened the 35-year-old female occupant with a knife before stealing a handbag and a car.

The woman was not physically injured during the incident.

The Morningside man has been charged with Enter dwelling with intent, armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 16.

Police are searching for a second man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his 20s, around 180cm tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a white hooded jumper.

Police investigations are continuing.
