A service station at Mount Gravatt East was robbed this afternoon by a woman armed with a knife.

Around 2.45pm a woman entered the Creek Road service station and threatened the male attendant with a knife, demanding money.

After receiving money the woman fled from the store towards Cavandish Road where it is believed she may have left in a vehicle.

The woman is described as possibly Pacific Islander in appearance with a tanned complexion, aged in her late teens, 170cm tall and of medium build. She was wearing a black hooded jumper, dark pants and was wearing a balaclava.

The 37-year-old attendant was not physically injured during the incident.

Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or 24hrs a day.
