A bottle shop at Belmont was robbed last night by a man armed with a knife.

Robbery at BelmontJust before 9pm a man entered the Belmont Road shop and threatened the female attendant, demanding money.

The attendant complied, and the man ran off with a sum of cash, towards a hatchback car parked in the car park.

The car drove off along Belmont Road.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man (pictured) is described as being Caucasian, between 160 – 170cm tall, in his early twenties, with a slim build and brown hair.

He was wearing a dark coloured hooded jacket with white horizontal stripes, denim calf length shorts, sneakers and a backpack.

Investigations are continuing.
