Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Mount Gravatt East this morning.

Around 10.40am a man entered the Creek Road store before threatening an employee with what appeared to be a firearm and demanding money.

The shop attendant complied with his demands and the man fled the store with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being aged in his 20s, approximately 175cm tall. He was wearing a black jacket, dark shorts, a black baseball cap and covered his face with a fluro green bandana.

Investigations are continuing.
