Around 2.10am, four offenders forced entry to the Creek Road store, causing damage to the front of the premises.
Once inside, they damaged a display cabinet and stole a quantity of cigarettes and food items.
They fled the scene in a vehicle, and were last seen by police on Newnham Road.
Police following the vehicle, terminated the pursuit after it was spotted driving dangerously.
