Police are currently investigating recent armed robberies in the region.

There was an armed robbery of a bottle shop at Upper Mount Gravatt on Thursday.

Initial information suggests around midday, a man entered the Newnham Road store allegedly armed with a rifle and threatened staff members. One staff member was allegedly directed to empty the contents of a cash register into a bag.

He was last seen on foot heading east on Delavan Street. No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 20 to 30 years of age, about 175cm tall, brown hair and with a medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue long sleeve shirt, cap and had cloth covering his face.

There was an armed robbery of a hotel in Camp Hill on Wednesday.

Just after 1.00am two men entered the Old Cleveland Road hotel. One of the men jumped behind the till counter and the second man was in possession of a hand gun.

The men threatened hotel staff before fleeing with cash and a note breaking machine. The hotel staff were not injured.

The first man is described as being 180cms tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark balaclava, black long sleeve shirt, dark pants and dark boots. The second man is described as 170cms tall with a solid build. He was wearing a black balaclava, orange and navy work shirt, black gloves, dark coloured shorts and work boots.

A man has suffered minor injuries following a robbery with violence incident at a home in Tingalpa on Tuesday.

Initial investigations indicate around 11pm the occupant of the Wynnum Road home has answered the door and been assaulted by two unknown men, one believed to be armed with a firearm.

A scuffle has occurred between a 27-year-old man and the offenders, at which time he has sustained minor injuries to his head. After receiving a sum of cash, the offenders have fled to a dark coloured sedan on Wynnum Road. Two other occupants in the house were not injured during the incident.

One of the offenders is described as being of Pacific Island in appearance, 180cm with a solid build, short black hair and aged in his late 20s – early 30s, clean shaven and was wearing a black hoodie at the time. The second offender is described as being of Caucasian in appearance, 165-170cm with a skinny build and short light brown/blonde hair, with some facial hair and wearing a white hoodie.

There was an armed robbery of a Greenslopes convenience store on Tuesday.

About 7.45pm a man entered the Juliette Street store and threatened the female attendant with a knife. He fled on foot with cash and cigarettes along Beatrice Street. The attendant was not injured.

The man is described as 25 to 30-years-of-age, African in appearance, 175cms tall and slim build. He was wearing a dark short sleeved shirt and was carrying a backpack.
