Police are investigating following the sexual assault of a woman at Tingalpa yesterday afternoon.
Around 3.45pm, a woman was walking along Greenslade Street when she was approached by a man before being threatened with a knife.
She was forced to walk to a nearby park where she was sexually assaulted before the man fled the scene.
The woman was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.
Police performed extensive patrols in the area but failed to locate the man.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s with a slim build and dark short spiked hair.
Police are urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time or has any information that could assist police with their investigations to call Crime Stoppers.
