Police are investigating the suspicious behaviour of a man outside a school at Camp Hill yesterday.

Around 3.20pm a man was standing at the main gate of the Burn Street facility when he called out to a 12-year-old girl inside the grounds and asked her to get into his car.

The girl declined and the man very briefly entered the school grounds before turning around and leaving.

No physical contact was made between the man and the girl.

The man is described as being aged in his 30s, about 180cm tall with a thin build, collar-length blonde hair and was wearing a white singlet at the time. He was driving a small red car.

He also had what appeared to be a tattoo or marking on the left side of his neck.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the man in the area at the time or have any information which could assist in their investigations to contact Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
