Man assaulted at a home in Firmiston Street, Carindale last night. The area has been taped off by police.
Paramedics were called to the home at 6.30pm and treated a 42-year-old man with wounds to his head, hand and arm, describing them as consistent with gunshot wounds.
However, police have dismissed initial reports of a shooting with Acting Inspector Ian Park stating a weapon was sighted but “there is no evidence at this stage that a weapon was discharged”.
